Therapy for Men, Teens, and Couples in Renton, WA
I work with teens, adults, couples, and families who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, identity questions, relationship challenges, and the pressure to keep everything together.
You may be looking for therapy because you feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to talk about what you are going through.
I also support men who may not always have a space to talk openly about what they are carrying.
Professional Background
I graduated from Antioch University Seattle with my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Hilo in Hawaii.
My career began in community mental health. During that time, I worked with adults from diverse cultural backgrounds and a wide range of life challenges.
Over time, I have also supported children, teens, and families.
Because trust matters in therapy, I focus on creating a safe, steady, and supportive relationship with each client.
Specialization and Focus
For teens, therapy can be a place to talk about school stress, family conflict, social pressure, low motivation, anxiety, depression, and identity development.
Many teens do not open up right away. Because of this, I take a patient and honest approach. I focus on building trust first.
For men, therapy can offer space to talk about stress, anger, irritability, burnout, work pressure, fatherhood stress, and relationship patterns.
Sometimes depression shows up as withdrawal. Sometimes anxiety shows up as control, overworking, or trying to keep everything together.
In therapy, we can slow things down and make space for what feels hard to name.
For couples, I help partners understand the patterns they keep getting stuck in. Together, we can work toward healthier communication, repair, and connection.
Therapeutic Approach
My style is warm, grounded, and honest. In our work together, I can help you notice patterns and understand what may be underneath them. From there, we can look at what needs to shift and what kind of support will help you move forward.
When I’m not doing therapy…
I’m usually spending time with my family, exploring new hobbies, or being outdoors. I appreciate simple routines, good food, and quiet moments that help me recharge.
Travis is now accepting new teen clients, adults, and couples clients. To schedule an appointment with Travis Gordon, please call the office at (425) 686-9509.
