Travis Gordon – Professional Background

he/him

I graduated from Antioch University Seattle in March 2020 with my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. Before relocating to Seattle, I completed my BA in Psychology at the University of Hilo in Hawaii.

I started my career in community mental health, working with adults from diverse cultural backgrounds and a wide range of challenges. I began this work during the height of the pandemic, which exposed me to the harsh realities many individuals were facing. It also showed me how important mental health support can be, and how deeply it can shape someone’s life.

I’ve also supported children, teens, and their families. Working with adolescents taught me how much teens need presence, patience, and a nonjudgmental space. Simply showing interest and trying to understand their world can give them the courage to keep going.

I grew up believing that life was supposed to feel like isolation, depression, and anxiety. It wasn’t until my early twenties that I learned how wrong that was. The combination of validation, support, and genuine care helped me create a healthier way of living. That experience is what led me to this work. My goal now is to be that same steady, encouraging hand for the people I work with.

Specialization and Focus

I support individuals dealing with anxiety, overwhelm, identity questions, and the pressure to keep everything together. Many of the people I work with are trying to navigate boundaries, burnout, or the feeling of being “stuck” in old patterns. I also enjoy working with men who want a space to talk openly without judgment.

Therapeutic Approach

My style is grounded, warm, and honest. I help clients slow down, look at their patterns with curiosity, and make choices that feel more aligned with who they want to be. I’m not here to tell you who you should be—I’m here to walk with you as you figure out what feels right and what needs to shift.

When I’m not doing therapy…

I’m usually spending time with my family, exploring new hobbies, or being outdoors. I appreciate simple routines, good food, and quiet moments that help me recharge.
